Liverpool signed England striker Andy Carroll from Newcastle for a club record transfer on Monday believed to be 35 million pounds (56 million dollars). Carroll agreed a five-and-a-half-year contract with the Reds after passing a medical and will wear the number nine shirt vacated by Fernando Torres after his move to Chelsea.
Do Carroll worth 35 million ?
I think that fee too much. Many believed this man is just worth between 15m - 20m. Such a nonsense from LFC to purchase the former Newcastle target man for excess of 35m. With the age of 22, has just one cap in his pocket, can he promise LFC goals like Torres did before ?
In this season, Carroll has performed well after bagging 11 goals, two goals more than new Chelsea's striker, Fernando Torres. Under King Kenny management, LFC plays ball on the ground and try to keep passing around the pitch. So, Carroll must provide some runs to give spaces for their midfielders, Gerrard and Meireles. Luckly for LFC, he is very strong and good in air which Torres couldn't give them before.
Let see the new LFC strikers reinforcement.. Carroll and Suarez.
