Liverpool signed England striker Andy Carroll from Newcastle for a club record transfer on Monday believed to be 35 million pounds (56 million dollars). Carroll agreed a five-and-a-half-year contract with the Reds after passing a medical and will wear the number nine shirt vacated by Fernando Torres after his move to Chelsea.
Do Carroll worth 35 million ?
I think that fee too much. Many believed this man is just worth between 15m - 20m. Such a nonsense from LFC to purchase the former Newcastle target man for excess of 35m. With the age of 22, has just one cap in his pocket, can he promise LFC goals like Torres did before ?
In this season, Carroll has performed well after bagging 11 goals, two goals more than new Chelsea's striker, Fernando Torres. Under King Kenny management, LFC plays ball on the ground and try to keep passing around the pitch. So, Carroll must provide some runs to give spaces for their midfielders, Gerrard and Meireles. Luckly for LFC, he is very strong and good in air which Torres couldn't give them before.
Let see the new LFC strikers reinforcement.. Carroll and Suarez.

3 positions could lift LFC.
- Winger
LFC still could not find a fragile one. A lot of players had tried their luck to play LFC such as Riera, Pennant, Kewell and Babel still can not prove their worth. Babel was a good and promising young talent but managers either Benitez or Hodgson didn't place him in first eleven.
- Suggestion : Funds need for the post around 20m-25m
Players - Stewart Downing, Adam Johnson, Ashley Young, Arda Turan
Prospect - Pacheco, Suso
- Defensive Midfielder
After the departure of Xabi Alonso, LFC still couldn't find any replacement. Alonso is a top class footballer, he can provide a good long pass and give more possession in midfield. With the current players like Lucas or Poulsen, they just not good enough to fill up the post.
- Suggestion : Funds need for the post around 20m-30m
Players - Miguel Veloso, Steven Defour
- Centre Defender
LFC still poor in their defending way. Set pieces, counter attack still be a major problem for Kenny Dalglish's reign. Maybe they have the best right-back, Glen Johnson and a promising young talent, Martin Kelly. But in left-back, Aurelio and Konchesky ( loan to Forest ) are not suitable to wear LFC shirt. Now, King Kenny has placed Johnson in left-back, recently he done his job pretty well. The main issue is LFC center defender. For now, combination between Agger and Skrtel are doing well, but not fragile enough to prevent the ball in net. Perhaps return of Carragher will boost them up but with the ageing of him, he is not strong and lack of pace. While in their substitution, Kyrgiakos isn't deserve to wear the Reds shirt. He is not pacey enough to compete the demanding of EPL football.
- Suggestion : Funds need for the post around 15m - 25m
Players - Simon Kjaer, Toby Alderweireld, Mateo Musacchio
Prospect - Danny Wilson, Daniel Ayala

Euro dream driving Chelsea’s Torres chase
Chelsea believe Fernando Torres is the man who can win owner Roman Abramovich the Champions League at last; and that is the driving force behind the London club’s relentless pursuit of the Liverpool striker which will almost certainly end in a record bid for the Spaniard on transfer deadline day.
I don't he is the right man for Abramovich to lead Chelsea the CL glory. The man he need is an attacking midfielder like Van Der Vaart, Yoann Gourcuff , perhaps Kaka'. They will provide Chelsea more encouraging attacking display which they must improvise to stop Man Utd from stealing the tittle EPL from them. Their strikers, Drogba, Anelka, Malouda neither Kalou are good enough to threaten the opposition defence. But midfielder players do not give much flowing ball to them. Mikel, Essien and under fitness Lampard are more to defensive way, only Lampard seem to create more attacking football in his play. But he is not a natural playmaker nor attacking midfielder. If they can get Van Der Vaart, Gourcuff or Kaka', they eventually helping the strikers with promising balls and passes.
It is Carlo's decision not Abramovich's.

Will Suarez join Liverpool to play with Torres - or replace him?
With Luis Suarez joining from Ajax, the question is whether he will arrive as Torres' partner or his replacement.
The purpose LFC signed Luis Suarez is to help Torres firing and provides more spaces to the Spaniard. For this remaining season which about 13-16 matches to go, I doesn't think Suarez can score goals more than 13 goals. Maybe around 6-10 goals. I have no intention to denied the former Ajax striker ability. He can not promise us goals which Torres always provides goals for LFC. Suarez still very 'young' in EPL football, not enough experience. He is a player who has scored goals in Holland and hasn't faced the demands of EPL. And if LFC can keep Torres, they will have two players who can put the opposition on the back foot.

Liverpool fear bad Gerrard reaction if Torres sold to Chelsea
Liverpool have concerns over how Steven Gerrard will react to the club selling Fernando Torres to Chelsea.
As all of us know, the relationship between Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres are heavily closed since the reign of successor, Rafa Benitez. If the odd transfer is done, maybe it will make the LFC's skipper and England midfielder unsettled and wondering about the club’s ambition. Perhaps after Torres' departure to Stamford Bridge, Steven Gerrard is following him behind as the London club had monitoring England no.4 for a quite long time. LFC will have trouble if their duo star headed to the LFC's exit door. So, King Kenny must utilise his man management ability to convince Torres first.

LFC reject Torres TRANSFER REQUEST
Liverpool FC have confirmed that Fernando Torres has on Friday evening submitted a transfer request. The request has been rejected.
Where he would go? Chelsea?
Poor thinking of him. At Stamford Bridge, he would never succeed. From my analytical views, the way he played football is very simple. He doesn't dribble or play the ball for 20-30 sec. Torres just made a run and somebody will provide him a good through pass. That only happened in LFC ways, pass and move play. Lastly, with his current form, no way he can be an instant superstar and solve the problem which CFC faced for now. CFC is lacking of goals and Torres also is lacking of goals. The solusion to CFC problem is try to find a very good playmaker.
Who?
Depends on Carlo himself.
